In reference to Ms.kallas' blog about the ted talk conference over 'What will you do to create change'. Throughout my past 10 years of my education the three that night resonant the most with me would most likely be voice, oppurtunity for innovation, and self assessment.
Voice- because I feel that the "think-share-pair" method of teaching or learning, rather, is quite affective if I can say from prior experience. I think this would be benefical in my classroom because in seeing how my students 'teach' each other I can use it as a self eveluation as well as a student evaluation.
Oppurtunity for innovation- becuase whoever said change was a and thing? Exactly. This will be benefical to my future classroom because my students will be able to connect what it is I am teaching to there own innovations and experiences.
Self-Assessment- because I thinl it is importnat for you and your teaher both to be aware of what it is your are doing wrong or maybe even right. This will be benefical in my future classroom becuase it will give my students almost a sense of belonging which is what I strive to accomplish anyways. In school, no one ever told me that I could do it myself so I want to be able to do that in at least one students life in my teaching career.

Unfortunately all of these 'things to look for in a classroom' will not come easily. i think a few of the things to look for that I will struggle with would most likely be connected learning, time for reflection, and problem solvers/finders.
Connected learning- becuase I have would have a problem with remembering that my students don't know or recollect as much as I do. I woudl forget that I know more than that fo a 11 to 12 year old child .
Time for reflection- becuase I don't thnk writing about what happened is very benefical to me however I will msot likely have a few students that would disagree with that statement.
Problems solvers/Finders- again like I said prior to this I do believe that I would forget that they 'do not know what I know'. It like an olympics swimmer telling a new born baby to jump in the twelve foot deep pool.  They have been swimming majority of there life so they think that everyone 'knows what they know' when in reality taht is not the case at all.
